1. 🛡️ Are you insured?
Yes! Salt Lake Paws is fully insured through Pet Care Insurance (PCI). We’re professionally covered for dog walking, pet sitting, house sitting (even when pets aren’t present), pet taxi services, basic training, and daycare—giving you complete peace of mind. We also carry higher liability limits and additional Search and Rescue (SAR) insurance to ensure your pets are protected in even the most unexpected situations.
2. 🐾 What services do you offer?
- 🐕 Dog Walking: Personalized outings from neighborhood strolls to canyon hikes.
- 🏠 Pet Sitting: Drop-ins or extended stays for meals, meds, and companionship.
- 🔑 House Sitting: Reliable care for your home and pets while you’re away.
- 🚗 Pet Taxi: Safe rides to vet appointments, grooming, or the trailhead.
- 🎓 Pet Training: Basic training with positive reinforcement only.
- 🦴 Daycare Services: Flexible daytime care while you’re at work or out.
3. 💵 What are your rates & Time blocks?
Travel fees are charged separately and calculated by drive time zones.
- Zone 1 (0–10 miles): $0.00 travel fee
- Zone 2 (10–20 miles): $10.00 travel fee
- Zone 3 (20–30 miles): $20.00 travel fee

Salt Lake Paws Walk Scheduling Policy
At Salt Lake Paws, we understand that every pet and every schedule is unique. To ensure the best care and efficient service for all our clients, we operate using flexible time blocks for walks and outings.
Time Blocks
We offer services during the following general time frames:
- Morning Walks: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Midday Walks: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon Walks: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Evening Walks (Summer Only): 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
While we cannot guarantee an exact start time, we do our best to accommodate preferred times (such as 10:00 AM) within your selected block. Just let us know your preference when booking.

5. 🎓 What qualifications do you have?
Pat is a former zookeeper with an AZA background, animal first aid training, and years of hands-on experience working with dogs, cats, birds, and exotics. Your pets are in knowledgeable, compassionate hands.
6. 🤝 Can I meet my sitter or walker first?
Absolutely! We offer free meet-and-greet sessions so you and your pet can feel confident and comfortable.

8. 🚨 What happens in an emergency?
We have a clear emergency protocol. You’ll be contacted immediately, and your pet will be taken to your preferred or the nearest emergency veterinarian as needed.
9. 📍 Where are you located?
We’re based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and serve surrounding neighborhoods and trails. Travel zones are based on actual driving distance—not a straight-line radius.
Zone 1 is centered around Foothill Village, which serves as our home base and reference point for local service.
