Salt Lake Paws Walk Scheduling Policy

At Salt Lake Paws, we understand that every pet and every schedule is unique. To ensure the best care and efficient service for all our clients, we operate using flexible time blocks for walks and outings.

Time Blocks

We offer services during the following general time frames:

  • Morning Walks: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Midday Walks: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Afternoon Walks: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Evening Walks (Summer Only): 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

While we cannot guarantee an exact start time, we do our best to accommodate preferred times (such as 10:00 AM) within your selected block. Just let us know your preference when booking.

Salt Lake Paws Scheduling & Seasonal Safety Policy

At Salt Lake Paws, we use flexible time blocks rather than exact appointment times to ensure the safest, most efficient service for all of our clients. This means your pet's walk or outing will occur within a designated time frame (such as 7:00 AM–12:00 PM), not at a specific start time. You’re welcome to share your time preferences (e.g., “closer to 10 AM”), and we’ll do our best to accommodate them when possible.

If your dog is scheduled for a pack walk or adventure outing involving multiple households, please note that they may be away from home longer than the walk or outing duration. This allows us to coordinate safe travel, manage group dynamics, and provide the best experience for all dogs involved.

We are also committed to your pet’s safety, particularly during extreme weather. In the summer months, neighborhood walks may be modified or rescheduled to prevent exposure to dangerously hot pavement. If that happens, the session may include a brief potty break followed by indoor play or enrichment time in a safe, cool environment.

Adventure outings generally involve cooler natural surfaces like dirt, grass, or gravel, but they are still subject to weather-related adjustments. We may shift start times to earlier or later in the day, ensure access to fresh drinking water—either by carrying it or utilizing safe natural sources—and tailor routes and pacing to your pet’s needs and the conditions.

Legal Waiver and Liability Acknowledgment for Salt Lake Paws

I understand that Salt Lake Paws takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of my pet(s) during all services, including but not limited to dog walking, adventure outings, group walks, pet sitting, and pet taxi services. However, I acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved in these activities, and I voluntarily assume all responsibility for any illness, injury, or harm, whether minor or serious, that may occur.

These risks include but are not limited to: exposure to other animals, unpredictable terrain, weather conditions, insects, wildlife, and accidental injury. I understand that participation in group play, outdoor activities, or trail use may result in my pet(s) getting dirty or wet. I acknowledge that Salt Lake Paws does not provide bathing or grooming services.

I affirm that my pet(s) are current on vaccinations, including Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP (Parvo/Distemper), and have not been exposed to any contagious illness or disease within the last thirty (30) days.

I understand that if my pet(s) display aggressive, threatening, or disruptive behavior, Salt Lake Paws reserves the right to remove them from group settings or services immediately. I may be required to retrieve my pet(s) early or make alternate arrangements at my own expense.

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize Salt Lake Paws to seek emergency veterinary care or veterinary care at the nearest available clinic to ensure prompt treatment. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me as soon as possible. I may request that my pet’s primary veterinarian or preferred clinic be prioritized for treatment; however, I acknowledge that this may not result in the fastest possible care, and Salt Lake Paws will not be held liable for any delays or complications resulting from this preference.

I may request individual or private services as an alternative to group settings, and I understand this may result in an additional charge.

I acknowledge and agree that Salt Lake Paws, including its staff and representatives, shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, or condition — whether physical, behavioral, or emotional — that occurs during the normal course of care unless caused by gross negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salt Lake Paws from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the actions, behavior, or health of my pet(s), including property damage or injury to other animals, people, or staff.

Name provided will serve as a digital signature for acknowledgment.

Salt Lake Paws Scheduling & Seasonal Safety Policy

At Salt Lake Paws, we use flexible time blocks rather than exact appointment times to ensure the safest, most efficient service for all of our clients. This means your pet's walk or outing will occur within a designated time frame (such as 8:00 AM–12:00 PM), not at a specific start time.

Adventure outings generally involve cooler natural surfaces like dirt, grass, or gravel, but they are still subject to weather-related adjustments. We may shift start times to earlier or later in the day, carry water on all outings, monitor dogs closely for signs of overheating, and tailor routes and pacing to your pet’s needs and the conditions.

Which time block do you prefer?
I understand and agree to Salt Lake Paws Scheduling & Seasonal Safety Policy as described above and realize this policy may change or evolve.
Pet Sitting Deposit Policy To secure your pet sitting reservation with Salt Lake Paws, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Veterinary Authorization & Emergency Care

Would you like your pet’s primary veterinary clinic to be prioritized for emergency care, even if a closer clinic or emergency provider is available?
Have you informed (or will you inform) your primary veterinarian or clinic that Salt Lake Paws is authorized to seek medical care for your pet, and that you—not Salt Lake Paws—are financially responsible for any fees, treatments, or charges incurred, which should be billed directly to you by the provider?
I certify that my pets are up todate on all required vaccinations, and that I will e-mail a record of the vaccinations over prior to the start of services.
My Pets are Microchipped.

In the event of an emergency or if we believe your pet requires medical attention while in our care, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you are unreachable, we are authorized to seek veterinary care from your designated veterinarian or the nearest available emergency veterinary facility.

By signing below, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for all veterinary costs, including but not limited to examinations, treatments, medications, surgeries, and emergency care. We will not be held financially or legally liable for any veterinary expenses incurred while your pet is in our care.
